Student Vaccines

Please read the information on this page before booking an appointment at the bottom of this page.

Note:​

  • These clinics are for students who live or study in Toronto
  • Each person getting vaccinated needs their own appointment
  • When booking an appointment, the student’s information must be used (name, date of birth, and contact details). Schedule individual appointments for each student.

 

School Immunization Program (SIP)

Vaccine

Who is Currently Eligible?

Hepatitis B Vaccine
(Two or three doses)

All grade 7 to 12 students

HPV or Human Papillomavirus Vaccine
(Two or three doses)

All grade 7 to 12 students
Males up to 26 years, who identify as having sex with men

Meningococcal vaccine
(One dose)
All grade 7 to 12 students

   

Immunization of School Pupils Act (ISPA) Vaccines

Students in grades Junior Kindergarten to 12 can receive vaccines against the following diseases required under the ISPA*:

  • Measles
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Diphtheria
  • Tetanus
  • Polio
  • Meningococcal
  • Pertussis (whooping cough)
  • Varicella (chickenpox) – for students born 2010 and after

*Or a valid exemption

How to Prepare for your Appointment:

  1. Arrive no earlier than 15 minutes before your appointment.
  2. Bring student’s immunization records and health card (if available).
  3. If you received a letter from Toronto Public Health regarding the student's vaccination record please bring this letter to the appointment.
  4. Review information about the vaccines and the diseases they protect against. Opens in new window
  5. ​Students less than 14 years of age must be accompanied by a parent/legal guardian to sign the consent form. Students 14 years and older can sign their own consent form.
  6. Ensure students eat a snack before their appointment and wear a short sleeve shirt.
  7. It is recommended students come to the clinic with just one parent/legal guardian.
  8. Stay home if you are feeling sick and get your vaccine at a later date when you are feeling better. Upon arrival at the clinic, everyone will be screened for respiratory virus symptoms.
  9. Wearing a mask is strongly recommended while in the clinic. Masks will be available.
