Seniors Services and Long-Term Care is one of the operating divisions within Community Development and Social Services. We work to create a Toronto where every resident can access the social supports they need to live with dignity and opportunity. Our work is guided by reconciliation, equity and community empowerment.
Our highly skilled teams deliver excellent community services to meet the needs of an aging population with increasingly complex needs. We support affordability, service integration and easier navigation of services.
Our scope of services includes:
- Community support programs such as adult day programs, supportive housing services, tenancy supports and homemakers and nurses services for vulnerable individuals who reside in the community.
- Directly operating 10 long-term care homes that provide 24-hour resident-focused care for permanent and short-stay admissions; care, services and programs enhance the quality of life by responding to individual resident needs.
The principles of Reconciliation, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion guide all aspects of our work and CARE (Compassion | Accountability | Respect | Excellence) values. Review the Commitment to CARE video to learn more.
